Cloudstreet is a powerful stage adaptation of Tim Winton’s acclaimed novel, following the intertwined lives of two very different working-class families—the Pickles and the Lambs—who share a large, haunted house in post-war Perth. While the feckless Pickles love drinking and betting, the Lambs are God-fearing and hard-working. Over the years their lives become entwined in ways they couldn’t have imagined. Spanning over two decades, the play captures the Australian spirit and landscape.
