Health & Well-being
The School’s Medical Centre is staffed by a team of qualified nurses throughout the day and there is on-call provision overnight. The School doctor, who oversees the health of our boarders, visits the School on a weekly basis and there is access to local medical, dental and optical services for boarders.
An osteopath visits the School on a regular basis, adding to our excellent provision for sports injuries and their management, complementing our Strength and Conditioning programme.
There is a professional counsellor and a behaviourial therapist who visit the School regularly to support pupils with sensitive or emotional issues and staff have access to a range of further specialists who can help to support pupils.
The School’s Student Mentoring Scheme (a system of peer mentoring by selected and trained Sixth Form students) is overseen by the Lay Chaplain and provides peer support to younger pupils. The School Chaplain is also central to school life and offers support and advice to pupils.
