Classics Debaters are Champions for the second year running

Back

Sixth Form Classics debaters took on Cranleigh in a fiercely fought intellectual battle. Sam Hunt marched in first, veritably gunning for supremacy of Rome over Greece. Millie Stokes followed, eloquently proffering her arguments for the relative merits of Latin as opposed to Greek literature. Finally, Anna Gray bravely entered the fray and spoke expertly about an area of personal interest to her: Roman medicine. Cranleigh also had three top speakers, but there was no doubt which side had dominated and Reed’s was crowned Classics Debate Varsity Champions for the second year running, just recompense for all the time they spent researching and preparing such excellent speeches.
