Launch Car Challenge Final
BackFifty Primary school children from 11 different schools came to Reed’s for the grand final of Launch Car Challenge, a 20-week STEM initiative organised through the Reed’s Primary Forum.
The children had to design and build a car that could be launched by a compressed air cylinder which would go as straight and as far as possible; they also had to display their design concepts.
The finalists were the teams who had won their individual schools’ sessions which took place over the last two terms involving over 600 children in total.
We were joined by the Deputy Major of Elmbridge and a representative from The Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers which is kindly supporting the programme for the third year.
The children produced some great cars and a good time was had by all.
