The Reggae Show - a high quality performance
BackThe Reggae Show can only be described as extraordinary - involving 50 Third Form pupils this was a unique event in getting all abilities and musical experiences involved in a high quality performance.
The first half consisted of solo and small ensemble performances, showcasing the best musical talents from within the Third Form. After a term of learning about the genre and rehearsing performances as part of the Third Form curriculum, pupils took to the stage for the second half of the show to perform a number of Reggae songs, accompanied by a full Reggae band and brass section.
A sense of fun was evident (including some impressively slick choreography!) but at no point did this detract from the high quality of the show. This was a truly pupil-lead event with the band, singers and even lighting design all provided by Third Formers.
A fantastic show - I am sure it will remain in the memories of those lucky enough to see it for many years to come and I hope all boys involved will feel justifiably proud of what they achieved. Bravo!
